SUMMER TIME

I have been having the time of my life. I couldn't ask for better friends and family.
I decided it was time to share some pictures from my ten year reunion adventures. Below is a picture that was taken on the 4th of July at my best friend's cabin. I think we were in a pontoon. This was the last part of the reunion.
The picture below is a picture of my friend Shelly and I. We met the summer going into first grade. Shelly and I have a special relationship that cannot be described.
Jesse and I at my ten year reunion. I think Jesse had a good time meeting all the people I graduated with.
WHS class of 2000! I was impressed with how many of us came to celebrate!
My friend Shanna's son jumping into her mother's swimming pool. I had told my kids earlier in the day, that we were going swimming at my friend's house. They were expecting a little blow up pool, like the one we have. You should have seen their faces when we pulled up to a HUGE swimming pool with it's very own water slide. This was taken on Friday the first day of the reunion.
Amber, from Washington D.C, Angie, from New York City, and Shelly, from Minneapolis made it home for the reunion and came by to say hi.
It has been such a crazy month. I am exhausted. I just got back from D.C. where I was visiting Amber (the girl in the blue tank top in the above picture). D.C. is a great place to visit, minus the extreme humidity and heat. I went on a tour of our nations capital; since Amber works on Capital Hill for a senator, I got to go on an amazing tour. I also got to meet Amber's boss, Byron Dorgan-- who is an awesome person. Also, while in D.C. I went to a Dave Mathews concert--hat was an unbelievable show. I was also lucky enough to go to a Twins game in Baltimore, and the twins won. I was surprised at how many twins fans were at the game.

I missed my children of course. I couldn't wait to get back home and see them. I felt oddly guilty about being away from them. Parents can take trips sometimes right? It was the first trip I can remember taking alone in years---sort of liberating!

  1. Great photos! Thanks for posting one of the whole group... I tried to figure out who everyone was but man, I think we've all grown up! Glad you had a nice time and were able to see good friends!
